completed a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program and hold a Surgical Technologist Certification from a national certifying body recognized by the Department of Public Health The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting CST or the National Center for Competency Testing TS CCandidates without current certification who have successfully completed an accredited Surgical Technologist program but has not as of the date of hire obtained a Surgical Technologist Certification must obtain such certification within days of hire from a national certifying body recognized by the Department of Public Health The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting CST or the National Center for Competency Testing TS CSurgical Technicians who acted within the role of a Surgical Technician Operating Room Technician on or before October may be grandfathered in per CT Public Act Must maintain Certification while employed in this roleMust have certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support upon hire or receive certification within the new employee introductory orientation period and maintain clinical competency during employment within this
