Onsite DOT Delivery Driver Position Profile Responsible for the quality delivery, pick-up, and relocation of customer packages and mail in a safe manner, in accordance with customer requirements. This position requires federal DOT compliance and adherence to all Delivery Safety Standards. Job Duties and Responsibilities + Ensure proper receiving, sorting, and PO processing + Load and secure packages and mail in the boxed van/truck + Pick up mail and packages from designated customer stops + Deliver mail and packages to correct delivery points + Maintain log books per DOT regulations (electronic or manual) + Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance + Participate in safety programs + Pre-call customers when applicable + Provide strong customer service + Identify customer needs and refer calls appropriately + Maintain professional appearance per site dress code + Ensure all paperwork is signed and processed correctly + May be required to load/off-load trucks + Follow accident/incident reporting procedures + Meet productivity and quality standards as outlined by manager + Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, stair climber, pallet jack) + Lift packages up to 50 pounds + Assist in training new delivery drivers on current routes + Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education, Experience, and Certifications (Required) + Safe driving record and history + Eligible to drive a commercial vehicle per FMCSR regulations + Valid driver’s license per company policy + Must pass a road test + Valid and current medical card + Minimum age: 20 years + High school diploma or equivalent + Commercial driver’s license (if required by state) + Ability to read maps and use electronic GPS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities + Ability to handle oversized and overweight packages + Recognize and correct at-risk behaviors + Strong customer presentation and communication skills + Comfortable using smartphones/tablets and handheld tech + Adequate reading, math, and legible writing skills + May require certification for warehouse equipment operation Working Conditions and Physical/Mental Demands + Risk of injury if lifting/moving procedures or road rules are not followed + Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling + Physical effort required for lifting up to 50 pounds + Must interpret, comprehend, and apply complex instructions and data + Work environments include office, warehouse, and van/truck settings + Adequate lighting, ventilation, and normal temperature/noise levels + Ability to work independently _Note: This job description outlines the general nature and level of work performed.
