We have a magnificent opportunity for a talented Online Trade & Strategy Manager to join our high performing and collaborative team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Senior Online Trade & Strategy Manager, the Online Trade and Strategy Manager is responsible for profitably maximising online sales growth through analysing customer and market trends, and collaborating with merchandise and marketing.

A primary focus of this role will be to embed online and digital first thinking into the business, through enhancing how we work with the merchandising and marketing teams, transparency of strategic trade insight and influence– ensuring our key stakeholders are planning with omni-channel in mind. What you’ll be doing

As an Online Trade & Strategy Manager working for Kmart you will:          

Responsible for maximising Online sales growth by driving and converting customer demand. Define customer-centric sales and customer growth strategies that are scalable and forward looking. Use customer insights and data to identify key growth opportunities and blockers at a macro level. Responsible for driving the ideation and planning of portfolio trade initiatives. Drive “trade” thinking, identifying and capitalising on all trade opportunities profitability. Identify and drives opportunity to improve basket economics and profitability of categories. Build, own and drive areas of the Online Trade Plan, actively working with Marketing and Performance Marketing to support activations and trade initiatives. 

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

Degree in Finance, Commerce, Marketing or related discipline. 
7+ years’ experience in retail or FMCG environments preferable. Articulate with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels. Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, particularly in a sales-focused, customer-oriented or retail environment. Strong planning, organisation, project management and time management skills. Ability to collaborate and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence.
