Key Responsibilities
Case Finding: Identify all reportable cancer cases, including new diagnoses and recurring treatments, by reviewing pathology reports and electronic medical records.Abstracting & Coding: Review patient records to extract, analyze, and code detailed information on tumor stage, demographics, treatment types, and histology using ICD-O-3, AJCC staging, and SEER rules.Data Maintenance: Input, maintain, and update patient data in the cancer registry database (e.g., METRIQ, CancerRegistry360).Follow-up: Conduct annual follow-up on patients to track survival, disease recurrence, and subsequent treatments.Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all data adheres to the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) Commission on Cancer (CoC) standards and state/national reporting requirements.Data Utilization: Generate reports to support research, tumor boards, and cancer program quality improvement initiatives.Weekly Pay - Remote -
