The Oncology and Infusion Stewardship Clinical Coordinator is a newly created role that offers pharmacists an opportunity to advance their clinical expertise while driving financial stewardship, cost optimization and medication access for a complex oncology and infusion patient population. This position oversees outpatient oncology and infusion compliance processes and partners closely with the revenue cycle management team to optimize revenue capture and ensure billing and regulatory compliance aligned with medication use. Responsibilities include evaluating treatment options from a cost-effective perspective, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and supporting longitudinal workflows related to prior authorizations and medical necessity denials to promote appropriate coverage and utilization. Initially supporting oncology and infusion services in Florida and Weston, this role will expand to support oncology and infusion pharmacies across the enterprise and identify optimization opportunities across all markets within the health system.
**This is a remote position. A caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.**
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
+ Identify needs and implement standardized clinical pharmacy services across pharmacy service lines (e.g., Critical Care, Oncology).
+ Provide mentoring to pharmacists, residents and students.
+ Provide ideas regarding new clinical services, cost savings initiatives, and practice innovation through active participation in strategic planning efforts.
+ Establish processes to evaluate quality assurance within service line.
+ Identify pharmacy representation for academic responsibilities and interdisciplinary committees.
+ Direct, coordinate and provide feedback to staff regarding clinical services for assigned service line.
+ Participate in interviewing and recommend selection of candidates.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) accredited university
+ Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire
+ For individuals required to administer immunizations, current Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire are required
+ For individuals required to respond to adult or pediatric cardiopulmonary arrest events, current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA), or certification obtained within one (1) year of hire, is required
+ Completion of a post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) plus a minimum of 1 year of experience providing pharmaceutical care in the relevant specialty area **OR**
+ Completion of a post-graduate year 1 (PGY-1) residency plus a minimum of 3 years of experience providing pharmaceutical care in the relevant specialty area **OR**
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience providing pharmaceutical care in the relevant specialty area
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
+ Board certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties that aligns to practice area strongly preferred at time of hire and required within one year
+ Extensive experience or 5 years of outpatient infusion center experience
+ Previous leadership experience
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Typical physical demands include ability to perform functions of the job while reaching and stretching, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of job.
**Personal Protective Equipment:**
+ Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
**Pay Range**
Minimum Annual Salary: $112,110.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $170,955.00
