Procor Limited manages Canada’s largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network across the country. Our fleet has grown to include more than 30,5000 special purpose tank and freight cars. Procor also operates 28 repair locations servicing the petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, chemicals, fertilizers and food markets.Marmon Rail Group is seeking an On-Site Supervisor (Winnipeg, Manitoba).
Under the direction of Operations Manager, the Supervisor manages the operations of all departments within their area of responsibility, ensuring that productivity, quality, cost control, safety, people, and customer satisfaction targets are achieved. The Supervisor Performs root cause analysis if any of the targets are not met and develops corrective action and continuous improvement plans to meet or exceed targets.
Essential Functions:
Managing the operation of facility and the team on-siteProvide leadership and direction to the on-site staff while maintaining a positive and respectful work environmentResponsible for meeting facility production targets while controlling expendituresContinually develop on-site team skills for succession planning to ensure proper staffing levels are maintainedCommunicate with the on-site customer to ensure a continual flow of work for the facility, while maintaining a target back-log of workDevelop and implement initiatives for operational improvement and growthEnforce all safety rules and procedures set by both the company and the customer; ensure employee safety is the top prioritySubmit required metrics and documentation in a timely mannerManage material and inventory in accordance with company targetsDevelop on-site team and ensure appropriate staffing levelsOther related responsibilities as assignedSKILLS / SPECIFICATIONS:
2-3 years of team leadership and business management experience. Post-secondary education is preferredExperience in process management, quality assurance, and rail repair is advantageous. Demonstrated strong safety record. Experience working in confined spaces and or at heights is an asset. Experience with AAR rules and M1002/M1003 standards is beneficial.Proficient in computer use, especially with Office 365.Strong customer service skills with a focus on planning and execution. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Capable of performing effectively under pressure.Strong interpersonal skills and team-building capabilities. Strong customer focusDetail and quality orientedValid driver’s license required. Willingness to travel and stay overnight as necessary.
