Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.
**Role Overview:**
+ Lead discussions related to future on-prem Infrastructure architecture solutions for Key Business Applications. Facilitate and drive technical and business discussions relative to future direction.
+ Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap for legacy Operating Systems and Hardware that support current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint.
+ Gather, analyse and maintain data and develop technical roadmaps and blueprints that provide strategic direction for Operating Systems and Hardware. Run projects with stakeholders to maintain direction and ensure Applications stay the course related to their strategic on-prem hosting requirements.
+ Participate in the infrastructure architecture governance model with senior stakeholder across centralized on-prem hosting teams within the STS organization under Digital Technology.
+ Support, design and deploy methods to monitor when Operating Systems and hardware go end of life, end of support and end of extended support. Build in common roadmaps and optionality for each scenario and drive application stakeholders to make invested decisions which align to the common on-prem infrastructure which is offered at scale.
+ Drive standardization of services across our Operating Systems. Partner with domain experts to drive automation opportunities across legacy services.
+ Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
+ Responsible for providing clear, actionable reports showing the status and risks of legacy Operating Systems and Hardware across the on-prem environment.
+ Responsible to manage the lifecycle of such components and align to technical roadmaps
**Ideal Candidate:**
Should have experience in Infrastructure management process.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ **Bachelor's Degree. A minimum 5 years of professional experience.**

+ Skilled level expertise in running Infrastructure management processes to monitor quantity and quality of legacy Operating Systems and hardware
+ Understands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals.
