Omnichannel Retail Systems Digital Planner

CHANEL is kicking off a multi-year global transformation program aimed at providing best in class solutions to its business counterparts, through a modern tech stack and scalable architecture. At the cornerstone of the client experience, the POS system is a key component of this ecosystem, and its replacement at the heart of our transformation program. Ambitions
behind this change are to elevate the Client experience through simplified instore operations and the enablement of omnichannel journeys, the strengthening of our core processes and their alignment across regions and finally the opportunity to optimize our operating and support models.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Work with local, regional, and global stakeholders to define and align across the 3 divisions (Fashion, Fragrance & Beauty, Watch & Fine Jewelry) on the functional requirements for the new POS system
- Deep dive into the POS needs of each division to understand how requirements may impact operations and how operations can be adapted to the new system
- Ensure project timelines and delivery deadlines are clearly communicated and met
- Facilitate project progress by identifying gaps and issues, and coordinating with IT and other internal stakeholders to determine workarounds and solutions
- Communicate regularly on the project status to project stakeholders and leadership
- Ensure business divisions are trained and well prepared to switch to the new solution


The key stakeholders and working relation will comprise:
- Japan F&B, FSH, WFJ business divisions
- Japan IT, Legal, and other corporate divisions
- Global product, platform, and support teams


QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in consulting on retail system re-platform projects
- Knowledge of retail systems architecture
- Experience working with global luxury brands

Ideal attributes:
- Excellent communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to summarize complex issues and interact with top management stakeholders
- Seek objectives and results. Be able to see issues from a big picture perspective and define strategic solutions.
- Fast learner who can seek information independently to solve problems.
- Fluency in English/Japanese is required to collaborate with local and global teams.
