As Lilly strives to achieve these objectives, we have embarked on building and in-housing a state-of-the-art “next-best action recommendation engine” platform to enable more agile sales and marketing operations. This platform will
- ingest a wide variety of data sources,
- run advanced personalized marketing models
- and integrate seamlessly with all other Lilly SF and marketing operations platforms
to provide recommendations on “what should we do next” to the sales and marketing teams at the individual doctor or consumer level, enabling better decision making and improving customer experience.
As part of this team, we are excited to welcome professionals interested in driving cutting-edge technology-driven business operations, with a focus on quality assurance and continuous improvement. This team will be responsible for operating the omnichannel recommendation engine platforms which will drive SF and marketing campaigns for Eli Lilly.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data science, engineering, marketing, sales) to translate business needs into scalable solutions and operational processes.Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance platform capabilities and align with business objectives.Monitor personalization execution and recommendation delivery across digital and field channels.Drive automation, quality assurance, and process innovation using modern DevOps and TechOps practices.Support in continuously improving the omnichannel recommendation engine platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and accuracy of recommendations.Contribute to platform evolution by identifying opportunities for new features, integrations, or data sources.Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.7+ years of experience in managing end-to-end projects in data operations, marketing technology, or digital platform management.Proven track record in managing or supporting recommendation engines, personalization platforms, or campaign orchestration tools.Demonstrated leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving project success.Extensive experience in managing projects and products enabling personalization.Proven track record of strong stakeholder management with excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a matrixed, agile environment.SQL skills and experience debugging and optimizing data pipelines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in e-commerce, digital media, or consumer tech industries.Familiarity with tools like Adobe Experience Platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), or similar platforms.Exposure to CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Veeva) and customer data platforms (CDPs).Understanding of digital marketing ecosystems: A/B testing, segmentation, content personalization, and attribution modeling.Certifications in SQL, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), or project management (Scrum, PMP).Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.Experience with data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to drive data-driven decision-making.Lilly is dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities to actively engage in the workforce, ensuring equal opportunities when vying for positions.
