This position is aligned with Customer Facing Sales & Service Work: Prioritize engaging with customers; when not directly interacting with customers, enjoy the collaborative environment in a regional office.Reporting to the Director of Strategic Programs, the candidate in this position will be responsible for growing the share of Cooperative bookings as assigned for all Products and Services represented by the Trane/COOP contracts. The Strategic Program Manager’s success will be found in the ability to tailor and leverage marketing programs to the education and government market by:
Assisting field sales offices in developing total business solutions for Cooperative clientsAssisting the field sales offices in explaining the program to clientsCoordinating the program to ensure maximum exposure to the Cooperative clientsUnderstanding the unique needs of the marketAssessing competition, market trends and economicsDeveloping and executing on customer-facing marketing strategies and plansBringing packaged solutions and marketing programs that target this unique market with the goal of leveraging these solutions to grow the company’s market share
This individual will join a dynamic environment and ideally bring market-specific knowledge, as well as expertise in packaging, consulting, systems, and services to the education and government customers.
This person will operate at a relatively senior level providing council on market specific marketing strategies and programs that target superintendents, business managers, purchasing managers, education board members, construction decision makers, mayors, facilities managers, elected officials, county officers, and key financial consultants.
In addition, this role will be responsible for training, communicating with, and assisting in the solutions process of Trane associates that are accessing or interested in accessing the Cooperative contracts.
What you will do:
Communicate with associates needing cooperative information or trainingProvide cooperative technical training to Trane officesProvide updates and reports as requiredBecome familiar with the Trane/COOP contracts to be able to conduct spot audits at a customer or cooperative requestEvaluate the reporting process and suggest solutions that will streamline the processBecome familiar with and stay abreast of cooperative competitorsAssist and train customers on questions and concerns on the cooperative contractsWork with Trane offices on training of the cooperative contractsCoordinate, train, and be the liaison for all equipment affiliates on the cooperative contractsWork with internal systems staff on issues relating to COOPsIdentify opportunities for cooperative growth in markets that are applicableProvide customer and training presentations to COOP salesAttend trade shows as required and coordinate major events with Trane marketing as well as Trane offices marketing personnelPromote solution tools to Trane associates through newsletters, electronic media, and flyerVisit Trane offices in the region to assist in training, communication, customer education to promote the cooperative contractsHelp develop marketing tools to elevate the contract to focus on additional opportunitiesAcquire and demonstrate a broad understanding of the legislation, procurement methods, and initiatives impacting the COOP contracts in their respective states for the regionDevelop and execute a detailed business plan to include specific strategies, tactics and timelines for results for each of Trane’s revenue streams (solutions, equipment, controls, service, parts and training) for the respective regionEngage existing and targeted COOP clients to articulate value propositions at the executive and board levelProvide leadership in the area of education, understanding, and focus on the market. Work closely with all Trane corporate departments to coordinate effective team direction, business development and seamless implementation to deliver the “One Trane” solutionImplement Trane’s National Education programs as applicableTrack progress against assigned goals and expectationsUp to 40% travel
What you will bring:
A bachelor’s degree with a business, technology or engineering emphasis is desiredMinimum of 5-7 years of related sales/management experience, preferably in a consultative approach to the education market
DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Must possess a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years. within 1 Year Required.

Compensation:
Pay Range: $98,500 - $230,000
Additional Compensation: Incentive
