Job Overview:

Oliver Wyman is recruiting a Knowledge Analyst to support Oliver Wyman’s Transportation and Advanced Industrials practice (TAI) globally, with a focus on the industrial goods and automotive sectors.

This role reports to the TAI Knowledge Expert and involves close collaboration with the global TAI Knowledge team, business leaders, and consultants.

Industry Overview:

TAI is a specialized Industry within the Oliver Wyman consulting business, working across a wide range of sectors from companies that transport people and goods to those that build and service the required equipment and other industrial products. OW has renowned sector experience in Aerospace & defence, automotive, aviation, industrial goods, logistics and rail. 

Key Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity to support one of Oliver Wyman’s largest industry teams. The purpose of this role is to help facilitate knowledge codification and sharing across the TAI practice and Oliver Wyman to support Consultants and Partners to deliver engagements and win new opportunities. The Knowledge Analyst is part of a global TAI Knowledge management team responsible for managing content and developing tools and processes for the industrial goods and automotive sector.

Primary focus will be on providing knowledge management support for the industrial goods sector and the key stakeholders for that business, with additional support for the automotive sector as required.

Identify, collect and curate valuable intellectual capital (IC) within the industrial goods sector and automotive sector from projects, opportunities and studies.

Maintain and update knowledge map for the industrial goods sector.

Manage and enhance knowledge platforms to ensure easy access and effective knowledge flow.

Serve as a resource for TAI Partners and Consultants to help them be commercially successful by providing the information and resources they need. Including responding to knowledge requests from business teams.

Collaborate closely with the global TAI Knowledge team to align content, tools, and processes that boost knowledge sharing and business development. Work on 1-2 key overarching TAI initiatives, services, or products as directed by the team.

Ensure TAI knowledge is shared across industries and capabilities.

Experience Required:

Educated to Degree level

2+ years’ experience in knowledge management, research or business development

Interest or experience in industrial goods and automotive

Additional plus if candidates have prior experience in strategy / management consulting

Technical Skills:

Good PowerPoint skills

Intermediate Excel proficiency

Experience using generative AI tools beneficial

Familiarity with SharePoint or file management tools

Familiarity with database and data analysis principles

Skills and Attributes:

Ability to structure information and solve problems clearly and precisely

Ownership mentality with drive to complete tasks independently

Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to manage stakeholder relationships in time

Growth mindset and inclination towards personal development

Genuine curiosity about the TAI industry and sectors within

Attention to detail and high accuracy in grammar/numeracy

Ability to operate under pressure and to tight deadlines

Ability to track, monitor and manage numerous tasks and requests at one time

Business-level English
