Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Systems software requirements definition & decomposition for airplane network systems, validation and verification, development assurance, safety analysis, and systems integrationWork with software developers and test engineers to define and validate highly reliable system functionalityPlan, execute, and troubleshoot complex software systems integration to validate interface definition and system requirements of airplane network systemsPerform risk management and trade study analysesProvide analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot system design and implementation issuesCompare actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity, and lessons learnedWork with stakeholders to understand, troubleshoot and identify fixes for flight test and in service issuesExperience with airplane software development and certification RTCA DO-178CExperience with DOORS or similar requirements development and management tool


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

Experience with ARP4754A airplane systems development and certificationExperience with airplane networks and communication systemsExperience with flight deck operations and electronic flight bags (EFBs)Experience with Jira or other similar problem reporting/tracking toolBasic knowledge of network protocols, routing table definitions, and network architecture definitionsExperience with test procedures, lab testing and troubleshootingExcellent verbal and written communicationsExperience with Development Assurance, Certification and Safety AnalysisCustomer focus and ability to jump to the hottest “fire” and contribute to problem solutionsBachelor's degree and 9+ years and/or advanced degree with 7+ years related work experience.An accredited degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. Preference for accreditation to come from ABET.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $160,000 - $200,000

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible for performance-based incentives.
