Team: Integrated Consulting Group
Location: New York, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, San Francisco
Role: Intern

Team Overview: The Integrated Consulting Group (ICG) is a partnership between Oliver Wyman’s Management consulting and Actuarial teams. Interns will engage in a variety of projects for insurers and asset managers, combining technical skills with a strategic mindset to create transformative outcomes for clients. Our work covers numerous topics, including:

Strategy development

Financial effectiveness

Product design and management

Operational excellence

Underwriting and pricing

Role of an Intern

As an intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience and contribute to various aspects of consulting projects. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Assisting in Project Workstreams:

Supporting the development of hypotheses and assisting with data collection.

Helping with model creation and analyses.

Conducting primary and secondary research to provide insights.

Synthesis of Findings:

Assisting in compiling findings into presentations.

Participating in discussions with clients and stakeholders.

Support for Project Teams:

Collaborating with consultants and partners to ensure high-quality execution of project tasks.

Working Environment:

Desired Skills and Experience

We seek motivated and high-caliber individuals for our internship program. Ideal candidates will possess:

Enrollment in a degree program, ideally in actuarial science, risk management, STEM, or a related field, with expected graduation in 2027 or 2028.

Have taken, or are planning to take, actuarial exams or other certifications such as CFA.

Familiarity with insurance-related topics, such as risk management or finance, is a plus.

Strong analytical mindset and a willingness to engage with complex information.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Interest in strategic problem-solving and analytical work.

Willingness to travel, as required.

Compensation and Application Process

Internship Program Compensation: The applicable salary for this role is $1,450 per week.
