Job Title: Instructor
Department: Operations Support – Onshore Operations & Support Group
Reports to: Training Lead
Job Purpose
To deliver technical training and competency programs for Operations Group staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to safely and effectively operate and maintain company facilities.
Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver classroom and simulator-based training programs to meet operational competency requirements. Assess technical training needs and design customized content, including troubleshooting scenarios, for staff and national trainees. Provide on-the-job training and support to employees, trainees, and graduates, ensuring effective knowledge transfer. Conduct competency assessments covering technical theory, field application, and procedures. Support onboarding programs in coordination with line supervisors to ensure readiness for assigned units and equipment. Lead simulator training sessions and enhance simulator materials for troubleshooting processes. Establish measurable learning objectives aligned with new projects and facility startup requirements. Embed Process Safety and IIF (Incident and Injury Free) principles into all training content. Prepare reports on training progress and results and recommend individual development plans to address skills gaps.
Required Qualifications Education: Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering Experience: Minimum 4 years in Oil & Gas Operations, including at least 2 years in a training role. Expertise: Strong operational or maintenance background in Oil & Gas facilities.
Skills & Competencies Strong command of English (written and spoken) Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint Solid planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across departments Capable of coaching others and promoting a high-performance learning environment
Additional Requirements Adherence to Company Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality standards Support Qatarization through training and development of Qatari employees Ensure compliance with anti-trust, competition laws, and internal firewall policies
