Your Responsibilities

 

As an OFP Manufacturing Engineer for JD Engine Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will:

 

Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations. Investigates, gathers, and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks Participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) teams Investigate product quality problems, determine root cause for quality problems, gather/analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate non-value waste resulting from non-conformances, scrap or reclaim Use quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria to ensure the identification of quality failure concerns for both internal and external manufactured parts and assemblies Execute John Deere Quality Control Plan where implemented

What Skills You Need

 

1+ years of demonstrated factory support and manufacturing engineering knowledge (routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, capacity plans/line design, methods documentation, maintenance, quality plans and labor standards, troubleshooting, etc.) Work experience in a team environment Skills in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution 

 

What Makes You Stand Out

 

Understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Experience with SAP Knowledge of DC Electric torque equipment Robotics experience Experience with engineering CAD or 3D visualization software such as AutoCAD, VisView or VisMockup, or ProEngineer Experience with LEAN Manufacturing Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement 

 

Education

 

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or related experience
