Job Purpose
Responsible for managing commissioning during the preparation and execution stages of each wellhead platform to ensure objectives are safely met within the approved scope and schedule.
Job Context & Major Challenges
Manage all commissioning activities related to the electrical scope. Requires coordination and communication with various EPC contractors and subcontractors. Success in this position depends on strong initiative, collaboration across multiple stakeholders, and ensuring all technical objectives are met safely and within approved scope, budget, and schedule.
Key Job AccountabilitiesManage execution of electrical commissioning activities to meet commissioning schedule targets, especially during SIMOPS.
Responsible for offshore electrical commissioning activities.
Lead site-based electrical commissioning (onshore and offshore), ensuring alignment with project targets.
Supervise contractor electrical commissioning to ensure compliance with methodology and system database usage.
Accountable for readiness of commissioning spare parts and special tools for electrical packages.
Manage system completion, walkdowns, and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) for electrical systems.
Contribute to development of commissioning documents: procedures, method statements, and check sheets.
Ensure safety and cybersecurity procedures during commissioning (1st energization, LOTO, PTW, JSA).
Maintain a lessons learned register for the offshore scope.
Personal Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering. (MANDATORY)
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 8 years' experience in large-scale oil and gas projects, including 1 year in a supervisory or oversight role.
Knowledge of contract compliance (codes, standards, technical specifications).
Familiar with project execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and systems completion.
Proficient in reading P&IDs, datasheets, general arrangement drawings, and procedures.
Experience with electrical systems, including LV/HV, power distribution, protection relays, subsea power cables.
Familiar with vendors in the industry (e.g., compressors, power generation, control systems).
Experience handling EPC contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
Conversant with ATEX/IEC regulations.
Familiar with LOTO procedures and electrical codes.
Offshore experience and participation in start-up and operations handover phases
