The Opportunity:

Review and understand job tickets to determine size and quantity of sheets required and understand the appropriate ink colors to useVerifies with the second pressman that the ink supplied matches the ink / customer specsAdjust printing units for proper control and registerMounts plates on the pressMakes the necessary ink and water adjustments on the pressUnderstands the controls of the console and auxiliary controls for the operating systemsDirect and perform maintenance on the equipmentContinually checks quality of work to ensure customer specs are metCompletes production and quality reportsDirect crew for optimum production, quality and safetyPerform other duties assigned by manager, supervisor or lead

 

What You Need to Succeed:

Previous printing press experience Good communication and attention to detail skillsAbility to lift 25 lbs. regularly, 50 lbs. occasionally, 75 lbs. rarelyStand for at least 8 hours a dayWork overtime to cover vacation and/or absencesBend, twist, kneel throughout shiftUse densitometer and know how to read itUse hands to grasp, pull and pushWork at or below shoulder level
