Job DescriptionTo conduct comprehensive evaluations and inspections on all class of assets that are managed by Standard Bank Fleet Maintenance Department that have been flagged for further inspection / investigation.Ensures vehicles are available and operational to support daily business activities, promoting efficient, cost-effective, and safe fleet operations.To log and process fleet maintenance (e.g. vehicles and all other asset classes) authorisations, by diagnosing technical reports submitted by customers, dealers and franchise centers.To engage with customers and merchants by negotiating and making sound recommendations regarding repair work methods and providing the various options available.

QualificationsNational Vocational Certificate in Automotive Engineering Level 2 & 3Petrol & Diesel Mechanic Level 1, 2 or 3Auto mechanic, Auto mechatronics, Automotive Mechanics Level 3Diesel Mechanics / Level 3Automotive Mechatronics Level 1, 2, 3 or 4N3 Mechanical engineering & Fitting & TurningN3 Motor MechanicsMERSETA, NQF 5 DIAGNOSTICS & REPAIRSN4 Mechano-Technics

Additional Information

Experience:

3-5 years’ experience in the motor industry as a claims assessor. Technical experience in the motor industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyses customer related repair history in order to identify gaps at merchants and franchise dealers to ensure that appropriate repairs are effected and paid for.Conducts a full assessment of assets, by physical inspection, in order to negotiate and or debate/challenge the stated repair process and related costing.Completes a technical report on the assessment with recommendations supporting or challenging the authorisation request.Receives and resolves customer queries and/or complaints & logs calls and ensures that all requests and queries are resolved in an effective and efficient manner.Provides technical knowledge and advice when engaging with customers to ensure an effective and efficient service is offered.Provides cost-effective motoring solutions to customers by scrutinising maintenance and repair reports to enable customers to make informed decisions.
