Job Description

• To operationalise business rules through the documentation and translation of data governance principles (e.g., master data management, taxonomies, etc.) into effective and consistent processes in order to improve the integrity of the data and compliance of data handling processes. • To provide administrative support, planning, coordination and record keeping for the Information Governance capability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Information Studies
 

Additional Information

Experience 

3-4 years Experience in Data & AnalyticsKnowledge of data principles and information governance.Experience in business analysis, process documentation, client and stakeholder management and preparing of quality management reports.Experience in administering governance forums and processes.Knowledge and application of BCS239 (RDARR)

Key Responsibilities:

Continually identifies and documents risks in line with data management principles, ensuring they are mitigated and accounted for through risk management process.Identifies and assists the line manager in the development of policies and standards that need to be put in place to ensure the function can be carried out effectively and efficiently by performing initial research and drafting.Drives adherence to governance standards in support of the Enterprise Information Model (EIM).Ensures effective IG onboarding of Data Stewards and Provincial Data Managers (e.g. setup on all communication platforms and in relevant governance forums) to allow for consistent and effective engagement within this community.Provides input into the drafting of Information Governance (IG) policies by conducting research on industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and alignment with the broader industry ecosystem.
