Description of Job
The Colorado Supreme Court’s Colorado Lawyer Assistance Program (“COLAP”) seeks applications for the position of Office & Outreach Coordinator. COLAP is a free and confidential well-being program for Colorado’s legal community. Duties of the role include: providing assistance and education in the form of public speaking, staffing exhibit tables at conferences, coordinating presentation requests, coordinating volunteers, and writing or organizing articles, along with managing office needs and administrative tasks critical to the organization. This is a hybrid position with travel throughout the state expected.
Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights
+ At least one of the following:
+ A bachelor’s degree or post-graduate level education in psychology, mental health, addiction counseling, social services, political science, public health, or other legal related field.
OR
+ Training as a paralegal or court judicial assistant,
+ Minimum 2 years of work experience with professionals in the legal, clinical, behavioral health, or education fields. May also have experience as a teacher, instructor, program coordinator, office manager, executive assistant, judicial clerk, paralegal, or similar role.
+ Demonstrated outstanding public speaking and customer service.
+ Demonstrated and verifiable reputation for professionalism, discretion, civility, and integrity.
+ Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving and decision-making skills, and initiative.
The Ideal Candidate:
+ Will have a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a legal environment.
+ Has a Colorado Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) or Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) certification in good standing.
