Volt is immediately hiring for Office Operations & HR Manager in Solvang or Santa Barbara, CA.
This is a Full-Time/Direct Hire opportunity.
Schedule: Standard hours are 8 AM – 5 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility. Expect occasional overtime during busy periods like year-end. This role requires working two days per week in each office (Solvang and Santa Barbara), with travel to both locations weekly and as needed.
Compensation: $75,000 – $120,000 annually (Open to negotiation) + Discretionary bonus potential.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
Must-Have Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in firm operations, HR, and team management Strong understanding of payroll rules, labor laws, and employee benefits Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel and Word) and HR/payroll software High attention to detail, strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects independently and handle sensitive information with discretion Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Prior CPA firm experience a plusAs an Office Operations & HR Manager you will:
Oversee day-to-day office operations and maintain an organized workspace Lead, mentor, and supervise a team across two offices Manage operational projects and ensure timely delivery Handle recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, engagement, and culture Maintain employee records, benefits, and ensure HR compliance with labor laws and best practices Support payroll processing by collecting, reviewing, and validating timesheets and attendance data Collaborate with leadership to manage planning and administrative tasks Promote firm values and shape a positive, productive workplace cultureBenefits:
