Job Title: Office Manager
Job Description
The Office Manager leads a small office team, oversees day-to-day administrative operations, and serves as the central point of coordination between office staff, production leadership, and management. This role combines hands-on office management, HR support, and clerical oversight in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Office Manager ensures accuracy in documentation and processes, supports HR and payroll activities, and regularly collaborates with warehouse staff to verify orders and maintain smooth operational flow.
Responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of 3–4 office staff, including administration, data entry, HR support, and related functions.Review and verify all office work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to final submission.Set clear expectations, priorities, and deadlines for the office team to ensure timely and high-quality work.Identify errors, process inefficiencies, and issues with customer orders or communication, and take corrective action.Maintain organized systems for files, records, and documentation to support efficient office operations.Support the HR representative with benefits administration, training coordination, filing, and other HR tasks.Provide HR support with employee assistance needs while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.Oversee day-to-day office operations and act as the primary point of contact for office-related matters.Coordinate communication and information flow between office staff, production leadership, and management.Support audits, reporting, and internal reviews by ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and current.Assist warehouse employees with administrative needs related to orders, documentation, and coordination.Go onto the warehouse floor as needed to check orders and SKUs for inbound and outbound shipping.Ensure labels for all orders are correctly applied and match the corresponding shipments.Promote and support a safe working environment in both office and warehouse interactions.Qualifications
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in office management, HR support, or administrative leadership.Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.Prior experience supervising or leading administrative staff is strongly preferred.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
