Office Manager
Description We are looking for an experienced Office Manager to join our team in Salinas, California. This Contract-to-Employment position offers an opportunity to oversee daily operations and support the smooth functioning of our manufacturing plant. Responsibilities: • Oversee administrative operations, ensuring that office processes run smoothly and efficiently. • Supervise maintenance technicians and monitor their adherence to safety standards and compliance requirements. • Manage employee timecards and ensure accurate reporting for payroll processing. • Coordinate preventative maintenance activities, including machinery cleanup and optimization for efficiency. • Travel to Yuma for five months annually (November through March) to support operational needs at that location. • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping within the office environment located at the manufacturing plant. • Maintain a cooler environment (34 degrees) while overseeing operations and workflows on production lines. • Collaborate with other departments, including HR, Finance, Marketing, and Legal, to ensure alignment with organizational goals. • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a productive and detail-focused work atmosphere. Requirements • Minimum of four years of supervisory experience in a similar role. • At least five years of experience in the agriculture or produce industry, with knowledge of food processing. • Expertise in Bosch Packaging machinery, including bagger machines and scales, is required. • Ability and willingness to travel to Yuma as needed, especially during peak months. • Proficiency in accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). • Familiarity with office software systems such as ADP, Concur, CRM platforms, and accounting software. • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable for effective communication with team members.
