Job DescriptionOffice Engineer I to support office operations, records management, and administrative workflow within our San Francisco office. This role plays a key part in ensuring a professional, efficient, and well-organized work environment that supports technical and project delivery teams across multiple business lines.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily administrative functions including mail distribution, document processing, and departmental communications.Manage field inspections which may require site visits.Support records and information management efforts by maintaining both physical and digital filing systems in compliance with corporate and client standards.Monitor office inventory and coordinate supply orders, ensuring cost-effective procurement and appropriate stock levels.Collaborate with IT and Facilities staff to coordinate workstation setups, relocations, and minor technical support needs.Maintain compliance with data privacy, confidentiality, and record retention policies.Provide support for internal meetings and events, including document preparation, scheduling, and catering coordination.Assist in tracking departmental metrics, updating production data, and supporting process improvement initiatives.Partner with operations and safety teams to uphold AECOM’s workplace standards and health/safety procedures.Contribute to maintaining shared office and kitchen spaces for an organized, professional environment.QualificationsMinimum Requirements
BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
Proven experience managing physical and digital records, mail systems, or administrative databases.Strong attention to detail, proofreading, and document formatting skills.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with document management systems.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.Experience supporting teams in professional services, engineering, or legal environments.Familiarity with digital design tools such as Figma, Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop.Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.Certificate or coursework in Digital Design, UI/UX, Business Administration, or related discipline.Additional InformationSponsorship is not offered for this position.About AECOM
