Office Coordinator - Rheumatology Office
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** 12 Hour Day Shift **Description:** + Appropriately input patient information to ensure accurate and ethical claims submission, as assigned. + Effectively audit medical documentation for the purpose of ensuring compliance to HCFA documentation guidelines and HCMG policy. + Monitor compliance issues. Stay current with changes in reimbursement regulations. + Demonstrate reliability in accepting and fulfilling various roles. Perform other job related duties within job scope as requested by office manager. + Participate in other coding projects and activities as assigned. + Display basic knowledge of problem solving skills and is able to coordinate work area activities. **Education:** + High School Diploma or equivalent is required. + Certified Coder (either CPC or CCS-P) is preferred. **Experience & Skills:** + Minimum two (2) years' experience with coding practices which includes one (1) year of medical coding required. Skill in using computer coding programs and systems is necessary. + Knowledge of coding policies and procedures and reimbursement practices necessary. + Knowledge of health insurance processing and clinical policies is necessary. + Skill in identifying and resolving problems necessary. + Ability to prepare reports in accordance with detailed instruction is necessary. + Good interpersonal skills are necessary as well as effective communication skills. **Licensure/Certification:** None **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
