Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

Assignments may change daily and may include but not be limited to:Opening, sorting, distributing and picking up mail.Faxing, copying, scanning, filing.Sorting, stuffing bills/claims for mailingObtaining information necessary to bill a claim or resolve an inquiry such as diagnosis, addresses, insurance information, retrieving documents from various media.Working returned mailBankruptcy codingTCE batchingWorking low dollar accountsCredit balances, patient refundsComplies with Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations.Provide assistance with initial and ongoing training of other support staff personnel.Attends and actively participates in any training or education, which relates to their position and would contribute to their knowledge.Responsible for other duties or projects, which are assigned by Management. These may include special projects, telephone coverage, filing, copying and other duties as instructed.Responsible to learn any aspects of another position, with the same or lower job classification, as directed by the Supervisor or Manager.Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.These statements are intended to describe the essential functions of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities.
