Job Title: Part-time Experienced Office Assistant
Pay: $20+/hour
Hours: 15 hours/week, 5 hours/day, M, T, W—with occasional Fridays

We are seeking a part-time Experienced Office Assistant for a position with our client located in the Limington, Maine area. The part-time Office Assistant will provide critical administrative support to the Code Enforcement Officer. The Office Assistant will excel at managing a variety of tasks in a public-facing role with a friendly, can-do attitude. This is a part-time, client-facing role located in Limington, ME.

As a Part-time Experienced Office Assistant, you will be responsible for: Processing payments for permits. Answering calls and voicemails when the CEO is unavailable. Scheduling inspections. Billing yearly business permits. Preparing state plumbing permits. Updating forms as needed. Following up on building permits by checking the progress and status with applicants. Responding to emails and questions from residents, applicants, and town officials. Preparing weekly updates for a Select Board. Maintaining organized files and records. Performing other administrative tasks as assigned by the CEO.
The ideal candidate for this role will have: High school diploma or equivalent. At least one year of office administration experience, preferably in a municipal office. An easy-going, friendly and approachable demeanor.
