Description We are looking for a dedicated and organized Office Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Inglewood, California. This role involves providing critical administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of our middle school. Responsibilities:
• Provide front office support by managing daily tasks such as issuing tardy slips, distributing school communications, and coordinating with staff.
• Maintain and organize confidential records, including cumulative files and attendance logs.
• Administer basic first aid to students and communicate with parents or emergency responders in cases of significant health concerns.
• Assist with the school’s food program by counting and serving meals during breakfast and lunch periods.
• Facilitate the enrollment and re-enrollment process by ensuring accurate data collection and maintaining clear communication with families.
• Supervise students in designated areas on campus to ensure safety and adherence to school policies.
• Uphold high expectations for students and foster a belief in their ability to succeed.
• Model ethical behavior and align personal actions with the mission and vision of the school.
• Perform other administrative and operational tasks as needed to support the school’s daily activities. Requirements • Proven experience in administrative assistance or a similar role, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Proficiency in using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for organizing and managing tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
• Basic understanding of first aid procedures or willingness to learn.
