Yes County Albany Street Address NYS Office of Mental Health 44 Holland Avenue City Albany State NY Zip Code 12229 Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill multiple Office Assistant 2 , G-9, positions in the Office of Financial Management, Capital District Patient Resource Office.The Patient Resource Office is responsible for documenting financial resources of mental health clients and/or their family members in order to determine reimbursement sources to pay for services and to determine eligibility of benefits. The incumbents of these positions will be responsible for daily office support tasks. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: • Process Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) applications.• Work within the Medicaid Welfare Management System (WMS) and EMedNY, along with various other systems to maintain and collect necessary financial data.• Process Personal Needs Allowance (PNA) eligibility lists and adjust PNA benefits for working clients.• Monitor and track status of program activities using various reports, client rosters and logs.• Analyze routine reimbursement and demographic data, making appropriate decisions regarding case routing and resolution.• Perform clerical duties such as filing, forms completion, data entry and special projects.• Provide support to professional staff by performing follow-up work as needed.• Provide backup to other support staff. Minimum Qualifications Non-Competitive HELPS Opportunity: One year of clerical experience.Transfer Opportunity: Candidates must have permanent status as an Office Assistant 2, Grade 9, and be eligible for lateral transfer, OR be eligible for transfer via 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
