Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Office Administrator who will serve as a liaison with contacts at all organizational levels, including clients, subcontractors, and vendors. The ideal candidate will manage phone communications, maintain filing systems, and respond to requests for information while contributing to various projects.

ResponsibilitiesAct as a liaison with organizational contacts, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.Answer phones and take detailed messages for distribution.Establish, develop, maintain, and update both hard copy and electronic filing systems.Retrieve information from files as needed and respond to regularly occurring requests for information.Organize and prioritize large volumes of information, distributing it and responding to queries.Work independently and as part of a team on ongoing and special nonrecurring projects, potentially leading these projects.Identify areas for improvement in office practices and procedures, providing recommendations for improvement.Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, training sessions, and travel.Maintain supply inventory, anticipate needed supplies, place orders, verify receipt, and distribute supplies as necessary.Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks and other duties as assigned.Essential Skills2-3 years of office administrative experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Suite.Experience in office management, administrative assistance, and front desk operations.Strong data entry and customer service skills.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.Experience in the construction industry preferred but not required.Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.Work Environment

This position is on-site in Bladensburg, MD, with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires sitting at the front desk and interacting with visitors. The office environment offers substantial growth potential, as evidenced by previous office administrators who have advanced to senior administrative roles and project coordinator positions.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
