Job Description

Onisite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Saginaw on a full-time basis.

The Role:

You will be responsible to Manage daily plant floor requests to support high level problem solving and develop quick containment action with robust long-term corrective actions. Present the teams with clear problem definition and technical guidance on complex problems. Support the plant in monitoring execution and compliance to the global quality requirements and GMS processes. Manage projects as requested by plant leadership.  In this position you will be supporting an off shift, you will need to be able to work autonomously, with occasional guidance from supervision.


What You'll Do (Responsibilities):

Manage multiple projects with broad scope and high degree of difficulty.Generate unique technical solutions utilizing 7 Diamonds Process, Red X and other tools as applicableAssist production and trades teams in prevention of defect occurrence and recommend process changesReview of nonconforming parts and sub-assemblies for proper initial disposition and root cause follow-upCoordinate engineering change implementation through PFCMSupport improvements through TIP (Throughput Improvement Process), ensure high-yield and productivityLead continuous improvement projects for product quality and process stability/capability  Close communication with multi-functional teams, including Production, Engineering, Quality, and GSC.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience2+ years of relevant experienceDemonstrated ability to attain results, while balancing technical solutions with business imperativesSolid analytical/problem solving skills with capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problemsGenerate technical solutions utilizing 7 Diamonds, Red X, DFMEA and other tools as applicableExercises independent judgment in managing complex and ambiguous tasks with minimal input from supervisorUnderstanding of GMS, Quality Systems, and lean conceptsThorough understanding of manufacturing processes. Strong team orientation, availability and willingness to work off shift and weekend schedules.  Ability to work 2nd and 3rd shift (ability to change shifts and work over time as required)

This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location on a full-time basis.&#xa;&#xa;The selected candidate will be required to travel <25% for this role.&#xa;&#xa;This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.&#xa;&#xa;
