JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager
SUMMARY: The Business Development Manager – Organic New Business is responsible for driving sustainable growth and expansion of the company's customer base through proactive, relationship-driven business development strategies. This role focuses on identifying and capturing new business opportunities through organic, non-acquisitive means. The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, excellent communication and networking skills, and a proven track record of growing a customer portfolio. The primary geographical focus of this position is Canada and more so, Eastern Canada, with wider focus on NAM if necessary.
This position reports to the Director of OCM.
DUTIES AND RESPSONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to identify, qualify, and secure new customers and revenue streams Leverage industry connections, networking, and lead generation to build a robust pipeline of prospective clients Manage the full sales cycle, from initial prospect outreach to contract negotiations and onboarding Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and service delivery teams to ensure seamless customer experiences Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to uncover new business opportunities Maintain detailed records and reporting on business development activities, pipeline, and results Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual new business targets and growth goals
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in business discipline or related field including the sciences. MBA or advanced degree preferred
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales operations, process improvement, OCM lab operations or a related field. Proven track-record in leading operational excellence initiatives within a sales environment. Experience with CRM systems and other sales tools. Some experience in implementing marketing programs is desirable Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, market information papers. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights. Excellent project management skills, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.

The work will be majority hybrid/office; however, there will be requirement to understand operations.
