Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) Schools Location: Minooka, IL 60447 Position Type: Full-Time, In-Person Schedule: 37.5 hours per week Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM Contract Dates: February 23, 2026 – May 21, 2026 Pay Rate: $50/hour Position Overview The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to preschool-aged students. This role includes conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing therapy services, and maintaining required documentation in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). The OT will collaborate with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and functional outcomes. Modality / License Type + 1× Occupational Therapist + In-Person + Full-Time Caseload Information + Student Population: Approximately 46 students (caseload subject to change as enrollment increases through February 2026) + Age Range: 3–5 years old + Service Model: In-person services Daily Responsibilities Include: + Plan and deliver occupational therapy treatment and consultation aligned with student goals and IEP service minutes + Conduct evaluations for incoming students transitioning from Early Intervention and re-evaluations for current students + Complete documentation, progress notes, evaluations, and service logs in a timely manner + Participate in evaluation meetings, eligibility meetings, annual reviews, and problem-solving meetings + Provide home programming, education, and strategies to parents/caregivers + Support arrival and departure routines as needed + Provide staff education related to occupational therapy strategies, services, and child development Required Qualifications + Active Occupational Therapist licensure in the State of Illinois + Minimum one (1) year of prior Occupational Therapy experience (school-based experience preferred) + Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice + CPR certification, if applicable + Completion of TB screening (questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray), if applicable + Current health certificate, per contract or state regulations + Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements + Must be at least 18 years of age Preferred Experience + Prior experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or early childhood setting Benefits At Amergis, we firmly believe that our employees are the heartbeat of our organization and we are happy to offer the following benefits: + Competitive pay & weekly paychecks + Health, dental, vision, and life insurance + 401(k) savings plan + Awards and recognition programs *Benefit eligibility is dependent on employment status.
