As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain and enhance their ability to participate in meaningful daily activities. Working with individuals affected by injury, surgery, stroke, cognitive challenges, or age-related changes, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic services that promote independence, improve function, and support overall quality of life. Your expertise will empower patients to confidently manage self-care, return to work, and navigate everyday responsibilities. **A caregiver in this position works varying hours| required to work 2 late nights a week| Saturday rotation 3x year| open to float if needed.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Evaluate and treat patients with physical, emotional, cognitive and/or psychosocial deficits which impact their abilities to successfully perform independent living skills. + Assess patient ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills and design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment. + Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities and document subjective and objective findings of patient progress. + Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits. + Direct and supervise the activities of support personnel. + Act a clinical instructor or participate in the education and evaluation of students. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Bachelor's Degree + Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association + Current Ohio licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) + Basic Life Support (BLS), Healthcare Provider Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Experience in clinical area **Physical Requirements:** + Ability to walk without assistive device and to maintain balance despite sudden load in order to support patient from falling. + Ability to meet physical demands characterized at the heavy level defined by 1993 Leonard Matheson and Ministry of Labor. + Ability to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to lift patient's arm and leg during therapeutic treatment program. + Sensation of touch and manual dexterity to be able to palpate muscle tension or to monitor patient pulse. + Visual acuity to observe patient's gross and fine motor movements in order to analyze these movements and to read all patient monitors. + Ability to speak clearly enough to instruct patients and families. + Ability to hear at a conversational level to understand patient's description of symptoms and response to treatment. **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. **Pay Range** Minimum Annual Salary: $69,600.00 Maximum Annual Salary: $106,132.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
