Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a world-class medical facility? We have an exciting opening for an Outpatient Cognitive Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist within our Brain Rehab Clinic on Generose 4.
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled OT to provide specialized cognitive rehabilitation for adults with complex neurological and functional conditions. Our patients present with a wide range of diagnoses—including traumatic and atraumatic brain injury, post-concussive syndrome, functional neurological disorder, stroke, and post–brain tumor resection recovery—and often experience cognitive, visual, sensory, headache, dizziness, and other fatigue-related impairments.
A Cognitive Rehabilitation OT requires skills in the comprehensive assessment of cognitive and functional impairments with ability to creatively design an individualized plan of care addressing factors such as memory, organizational and scheduling strategies, and symptom management in both compensatory and restorative approaches. This clinician must work effectively with a multidisciplinary team including rehab psychology and physiatry, vocational case coordinators, clinical social workers, and case managers.
Highly sought experience and qualifications for this position include:
+ Experience with complex neurologic conditions, chronic pain, and chronic health disorders.
+ Understanding of mental health considerations that may influence rehabilitation planning.
+ Desire to work collaboratively with patients, their support systems, and a multidisciplinary team.
+ Experience with multidisciplinary care coordination to optimize patient success.

**Qualifications**
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota as an Occupational Therapist. Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, decision making and problem solving.
Prefer board certification in clinical specialty area and/or advanced degree in health care field.
Also prefer active participation within professional organization.Current occupational therapy licensure in the state of Minnesota.
NBCOT certification as an OTR is required for employment at Mayo Clinic (both upon hiring and ongoing certification every 3 years).

Typical weekday clinic schedule is structured 8am-5pm.
**Weekend Schedule**
This position will require a weekend hospital rotation every 4th weekend on average. Comp days will be provided during the week surrounding a weekend worked.
