Hours vary: Monday - Friday availability

Must be available for two weekend day shifts a month

 

  PRN Rate: $60 /hr

 

Responsibilities

Looking for PRN occupational therapist to work as part of the rehab team in our inpatient rehabilitation hospital. This is a PRN position at the Baylor Scott and White Institute for Rehabilitation in Lakeway, Texas. Therapists are responsible for patient initial evaluations including goals and plan of care, treatment progressions, weekly status notes, and discharge assessments. Duties to also include participation in team conferences, family conferences, education groups, and other duties as assigned. The OT will work closely with SLP, PT, and RT to provide focused treatment. 

 

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline specific therapy services and design of program delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an Occupational Therapist requiredCertified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment requiredAcute or IPR experience preferredPrevious experience with the adult Neuro population preferred Additional Data
