Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities.

Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients.

To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player.


Job Requirements

Required 

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy with six (6) month clinical internshipWashington state license as an Occupational TherapistCPR certification

Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, wound healing, and disease progression, an understanding of the base components, both physical and cognitive, of ADLs (assisted daily living) and levels of ADL independence.  The ability to customize, adapt, and graduate to a home or work site environment or to adapt to a given treatment plan and equipment.   

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
