Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) - Flexible/PRN - Austin, TX - Rehab Without Walls Neurorehabilitation

An experienced COTA, seeking a primary treating therapist role (10-20 hrs/week) Providing functional rehabilitation wherever life happens, whether at home, school, work, or in the communityTreat your client beyond a staged environment into real life experiences like cooking in their kitchen, navigating grocery stores, restaurants, outdoor activities, and the workplaceYou thrive in an autonomous setting, and value being a part of a collaborative team of dynamic therapists

Assist patients in exercise, ADLs, functional activities, and the application/use of assistive devices in accordance with the treatment plan established by the Occupational TherapistAssist Occupational Therapist in the collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment proceduresEducate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by the Occupational TherapistParticipate in ongoing program evaluation and developmentMaintain thorough and timely documentation of all care providedMaintain working knowledge of and adherence to the AOTA Standards of Practice and Code of EthicsPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications

 

Degree from a certified occupational therapy assistant training programCurrent Occupational Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of applicationMinimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuriesKnowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniquesCurrent CPR certification About our Line of Business Rehab Without Walls, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a revolutionary neurorehabilitation program that moves individuals outside the walls of institutional settings and into their natural home and community environment through a continuum of care.
