Overview

Occupational Therapist (PRN) – 2 Days/Week

Location: Everlasting Services Community | Phoenix, Arizona
Setting: Neuro Rehabilitation | Rehab Without Walls Program

 

Everlasting Services provides resident-centered enrichment programs and exemplary care in an assisted living setting to survivors with traumatic brain injury, CVA/stroke, anoxia and more.

 

Who We Are Looking For:

Experienced therapist (3+ years) interested in working with a specialized neuro population

Provide 1:1 therapy in assisted living setting with access to on-site gym, outdoor therapeutic spaces, walking paths, gardens, and art roomsTherapist who values autonomy, creativity in treatment planning, and patient-centered care

What You Will Receive:

Flexible PRN schedule – approximately 2 days per week

Paid per Hour (not just per visit) 

Opportunity to practice neuro-focused therapy

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary clinical care team Responsibilities

What you will do: Responsibilities listed include but not limited to:

Perform evaluations and develop treatment plansRegularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferencesPerform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide referral and education resources Communicate patient’s needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, person receiving services and family membersCommunicates with other disciplines to ensure collaboration, coordination of care and enhance patient outcomes Qualifications

What you will need:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a college or university with an accredited Occupational Therapy program  Current, unrestricted license as an Occupational Therapist by state in which practicing  Current CPR CertificationA minimum of one year’s work experience as an Occupational TherapistDemonstrates knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological diagnoses preferredCommunicates effectively and professionally in verbal and written interactionAbility to lift 50 poundsMoving, lifting, or transferring of patients which may involve lifting of up to 100 pounds following safety proceduresDuties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/ standing for extended periodsAdditional physical requirements include: pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently at times About our Line of Business Rehab Without Walls, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a revolutionary neurorehabilitation program that moves individuals outside the walls of institutional settings and into their natural home and community environment through a continuum of care.
