Position Description HIRING: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – School-Based Location: Farmington, MO Grade Levels: Middle School & High School Start Date: Now– End of School Year Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Exact hours TBD) About the Role Amergis is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based team in Farmington, MO. In this role, you will support students with higher needs, primarily within self-contained and MAP-A classrooms. While most students served are in elementary grades (K–6), you will also work with a small group of middle and high school learners. You will collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists to carry out individualized treatment plans that promote students’ academic, social, and functional success. What You’ll Do + Provide therapy services in alignment with OT-developed treatment plans. + Support students with significant needs directly within classroom environments. + Collaborate with OTs, teachers, and school teams to ensure consistent support and student progress. + Manage a caseload (final assignments determined after the OT collaboration meeting). What We’re Looking For + Active Missouri COTA license. + Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred. + Ability to work across multiple campuses when needed. + Someone who enjoys working with Middle & High School students with special needs. + Strong team player with excellent communication skills. + Commitment to completing the full school year. + Availability to work 40 hours per week.
