URGENT need for a School-Based Occupational Therapist near Columbia River, Oregon! Location: Along the Northern Oregon Coast Region Schedule: Full Time (FT) Start Date: Remainder of the 2025 school year and, possibly the upcoming School year (2026-27) Compensation: + Local hourly rate: $68/hour + Gross weekly: $2,640 (based on FT hours) + Fleixble Work Model In-person or Hybrid + If Hybrid Work schedule will be 3 days onsite, and 2 days virtual + Caseload: Approximately 30 students across 2 schools Position Overview We are seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students across two Boulder-area schools. This is a hybrid position offering a balanced mix of onsite and remote work. The OT will provide services to a caseload of approximately 30 students with varying needs, focusing on promoting students’ ability to participate successfully in school-based activities. This includes IEP documentation, scheduling meetings, compliance checks, and state reporting. If Hybrid is your preferred method of therapy: We require an Occupational Therapist with prior experience delivering remote or teletherapy-based services. The ideal OT will be comfortable using online therapy techniques, engagement strategies, digital OT tools, virtual manipulatives, and interactive games or visuals to keep students attentive and motivated during remote sessions. Strong familiarity with adapting hands-on therapeutic activities into a virtual format is essential to support student participation, motor development, and functional skill growth while online. Key Responsibilities + Provide occupational therapy services to students with diverse needs in pre-K through secondary grades. + Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and write IEP goals aligned to Colorado standards and district expectations. + Document all services, progress, and evaluations within the Enrich / Frontline Special Education Management system. + Collaborate with teachers, special educators, related service providers, and parents/families. + Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and functional school-based skills. + Provide direct therapy, consultation, and accommodations to support access to the curriculum. + Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and data review. + Implement interventions across in-class, pull-out, and virtual environments in accordance with hybrid guidelines. Common Student Needs Treated by School-Based OTs School-based OTs typically support students aged 3–21 with: + Fine Motor and Handwriting Challenges + Sensory Processing Differences + Motor Planning & Coordination Difficulties + Functional School Participation + Executive Function Skills + Disabilities Served Students may qualify for OT services under: + Developmental delay + Autism spectrum disorder + Specific learning disabilities + Intellectual disability + ADHD + Emotional disability + Orthopedic impairments + Traumatic brain injury + Other health impairments These needs are typically outlined through the IEP process using Colorado’s Enrich-based system.
