UPMC Somerset is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. This role offers a dynamic mix of acute care and outpatient therapy, providing services to a diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in hand and upper extremity therapy, CVA rehabilitation, and work hardening/FCE evaluations, with a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities: + Perform comprehensive occupational therapy assessments, reassessments, and treatments for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. + Develop and adjust individualized plans of care based on physician referrals, patient needs, and clinical findings. + Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and collaborate to ensure optimal patient outcomes. + Maintain accurate and timely documentation including initial assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries. + Communicate effectively with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient status and progress. + Provide home exercise programs and education to patients and families. + Participate in clinical education by supervising students from affiliated academic institutions. + Rotate through treatment areas as needed to support organizational needs. + Attend and contribute to staff meetings and in-service education programs. + Maintain professional licensure and pursue continuing education to stay current with best practices.
