You will be working in our Logan Health Whitefish Hospital which is a 25-bed critical access hospital located in the scenic ski resort town of Whitefish, Montana. We are in the heart of the Flathead Valley, which offers an endless array of outdoor recreation, skiing, hiking and biking trails, whitewater rafting, and the breathtaking Glacier National Park. Your role:
This position is a PRN Occupational Therapist role with shifts available now as well as consistent shifts to help provide coverage during an upcoming maternity leave. There will be continued opportunities in the department on a PRN basis well beyond the leave period. This is a great opportunity to join a strong, supportive rehabilitation team and make a meaningful impact while maintaining flexible PRN work.
Schedule details:
Leave coverage is anticipated from approximately mid-May through mid-August 2026. Primary coverage needs include Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays as part of the maternity leave coverage. Saturday coverage is an ongoing department need, and regular Saturday shifts and additional PRN shifts are available now and moving forward, both during and after the maternity leave period.
Qualifications:
+ Minimum of one (1) of the following required:
+ Current Montana Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
+ Graduate of an accredited program of Occupational Therapy and must successfully obtain Montana Occupational Therapist (OT) license within thirty (30) days of hire.
+ Current BLS HCP CPR certification as applicable to assigned area(s).
+ Knowledge of and skilled in the use of materials and equipment, processes, procedures and techniques currently used in occupational therapy.
+ Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
+ Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
+ Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
+ Effectively plans, oversees, delegates and instructs assigned staff members in an effort to provide services in a competent and efficient manner.
+ Administers OT treatment to patients relative to age, culture and conditions of patient as applicable to assigned area(s).
+ Implements specific and individualized treatment programs for patients according to the principles of OT, Logan Health policy and payer requirements.
+ Completes all required documentation in a timely manner according to payer guidelines (Medicare, private insurance, Medicaid) and Montana practice guidelines for occupational therapy.
+ Exhibits effective communication skills in regards to all aspects of care, i.e. communication with patients, peers, family members, students and team members regarding OT related information.
+ Collaborates with patient, family and team to develop goals and/or discharge.
+ Enhances rehabilitation services by participating in projects and/or programs within the department, the facility and the community as applicable to assigned area(s).
+ Achieves set productivity standards per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).

Shift:
Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)
Schedule: PRN, 8 - hour day shifts
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
