Occupational Health Registered Nurse - PRN/per diem
Job Description

On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Lansing, Michigan plant.

The Role: The Occupational Health Registered Nurse – PRN/per diem is responsible for providing emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders. This position is meant to be ad hoc in nature with shifts to be scheduled in advance based on need and availability. The position will take place on 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts.

This position earns $39 an hour. This rate is non-negotiable.

What You'll Do:

Administers professional nursing care to sick and/or injured employeesPerforms and evaluates various clinical and diagnostic testsAssists plant physician in minor surgical proceduresInterviews and documents medical history of employeesWorks effectively with the Health Services team and other departmentsMaintains appropriate medical records to ensure quality and accuracyPerforms and documents physical examsAdheres to common practices and procedures throughout the departmentMaintains equipment and suppliesAssists with the promotion of plant wellness programsWorks with health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

Associate Degree in Nursing Valid state nursing license 2 years of prior nursing experience required Proficient with electronic medical records and basic computer programs/softwareMust be able to work any shift, as neededMust be able to work weekends, as needed Must be able to work at least 1 shift per week to fill staffing voids

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

Bachelor’s Degree in NursingER, Urgent Care, Critical Care, Med/Surg or Occupational Health experience preferredCertified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AEDCertification as Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or Occupational Health Nursing Specialist (COHN-S) preferred
