As an OB Surgical Tech you will: + Assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit. + Assist with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice. + Function as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures. + Maintain supplies and equipment on the unit. + Assist with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment. + Perform clerical and business support tasks as assigned. + Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values. The schedule for this position is 1800-0630 varied days, weekends and call are required. **Job Requirements** In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: + One-year surg tech experience preferred + Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English + Basic computer skills + High School graduate or GED + Completion of a Surgical Tech program + Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association + Current Colorado Surgical Technologist Registration for associates working in Colorado + Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Physical Requirements Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) **Where You'll Work** The Labor and Delivery department at St. Francis Hospital, an established Magnet® hospital, is a unit with ten high-risk antepartum beds and 12 LDR suites, with 250 deliveries per month. We have two ORs, a three-bay PACU and a seven- bed OB Emergency Department.
