Join our team as an OB Surgical Tech! As an OB Surgical Tech you will:

Assist in smooth daily operations of the Labor & Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit. Assist with vaginal deliveries under the direction of a Registered Nurse and provider and within scope of practice. Function as a Scrub Tech for surgical procedures. Maintain supplies and equipment on the unit. Assist with maintenance of Point of Care Testing and High Level Disinfection equipment. Perform clerical and business support tasks as assigned. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

The schedule for this position is 1800-0630 varied days, weekends and call are required. 


Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

One-year surg tech experience preferredAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishBasic computer skillsHigh School graduate or GEDCompletion of a Surgical Tech programCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart AssociationCurrent Colorado Surgical Technologist Registration for associates working in ColoradoCertification in Surgical Technology from the National Board Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Certification as a Tech in Surgery from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Physical Requirements Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services is a full-service, 712-bed acute care provider in Colorado Springs comprising Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St Francis Hospital - Interquest.
