Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County is seeking to expand current OBGYN services with the addition of a full-time Laborist Attending. Kings County Hospital specializes in the diagnosis and management of obstetric, medical, surgical, and fetal complications of pregnancy. Kings County Hospital offers advanced pregnancy ultrasound, consultations, genetic testing and counseling, fetal testing, and support for normal and high-risk pregnancies. The hospital is academically affiliated with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and trains their medical students and OBGYN residents.

Opportunity Details:
Provide direct inpatient obstetric care, including management of labor, deliveries, and postpartum care. Manage obstetric triage evaluations and admissions. Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and also obstetric procedures, as needed. Respond to obstetric emergencies, such as postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, eclampsia, and maternal-fetal resuscitation. Collaborate with maternal-fetal medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care. Promote a culture of safety through open communication and debriefing with multidisciplinary team members. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Flexible schedules available that include a combination of shift options. Serves as a clinical resource and mentor for trainees including residents, students, and nursing staff.
