Nutrition Assistant 1

Job Summary and Responsibilities

St. John’s Hospital Camarillo is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nutrition Assistant I to join our Dietary team. This role is essential in providing high-quality nutritional care to our residents and patients.

Assist with meal preparation, including portioning, plating, and serving food.Follow established recipes and dietary guidelines.Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to all safety and hygiene standards.Assist with food inventory and ordering.Provide excellent customer service to visitors and patients, ensuring their dietary needs are met.Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian and other dietary staff to ensure smooth operations.Assist with special dietary needs, including allergies, intolerances, and therapeutic diets.Maintain accurate records and documentation.Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices.
Job Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
