Nursing Supervisor (RN) - Endo/GI Lab _Bring your passion for Texas Health So We Are Better + Together_ Work location: Texas Health Plano 6200 West Parker Road, Plano, TX 75093 Work hours: Full Time/Days (7:30A-4P) for 40/hrs per week; Monday-Friday Endo/GI Lab Department Highlights: * Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team * Fast-Paced, high-volume department * Promotes within * Education and growth opportunities for all interested * High Retention/Low turnover in this department * Three OR's and plans for renovation for a 4 th room Here's What You Need: * Associate's degree in nursing required * Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred * 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge Nurse, Committee Chair, Preceptor) * 2 years of Endo/GI experience as an RN highly preferred * RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required and * BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained required and * CWOCN - Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse upon hire and * CPI - Crisis Prevention Training maintained annually, within 90 days required * A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. What You Will Do: * Collaborates with Leadership, UBC, and appropriate team members to establish, implement, and monitor department policies/procedures, facilitate unit goals, evaluate and individualize patient care and provide direction to staff to promote quality outcomes * Engage staff to promote evidence-based practices within the unit * Monitors key performance indicators (KPI's) and regulatory requirements for compliance * Provides bedside leadership and clinical expertise to improve quality of patient care * This role provides bedside leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, coordinating patient flow, patient care and assignments.
