Cleveland Clinic supports the growth, development and advancement of nurses through their career and as a Nursing Operations Manager, you will make a difference in the lives of both patients and caregivers at a leadership level. A caregiver in this role plays an important role in creating the best outcomes for our patients. Due to the smaller team and facility size, this caregiver occasionally performs nursing duties. 

This is a PRN position, with caregivers required to work a minimum of 48 hours in a six-week schedule. Caregivers enjoy the flexibility of choosing their own shifts and working 4, 8 or 12 hours per shift. 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Identify and ensure appropriate placement, facilitation and expedition of all patient flow transactions, including direct and emergency patient admissions and transfers, in accordance with established clinical standards and knowledge of disease entities. Address significant patient issues and staffing needs throughout the house and make modifications to ensure equitable staffing arrangements throughout the hospital. Communicate changes with relevant leaders. Manage the patient experience trans-organizationally to optimize all resources to ensure a safe and efficient environment. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of professional nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Three years of experience in an acute care setting  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross  

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

One year of management experience 

Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking, standing, sitting.Manual dexterity, corrected vision, hand and eye coordination.Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
